About Me:

Ernest Hemingway's House in Key West, Florida

    A Little Bit About Me:

I am a mother of two wonderful boys and an adorable, very energetic part-husky named Kira. I love to travel, especially when there’s a beach involved. I originally started this blog as part of my professional development plan as an English teacher, to keep up with the books that my students and I read. However, it turned out to be such a rewarding experience that I decided to continue blogging. I have been blogging since December 2009. Some of my book recommendations have been featured in magazines like Woman's World and on Barnes & Noble's website, as well as in newspapers such as Wisconsin's The Chetek Alert.

I am a Pennsylvania certified teacher with certifications in Middle School English Language Arts, English Language, Literature, and Composition 7-12, as well as being a certified Reading Specialist K-12. I am also a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society and have a Master's degree in Education with Reading Specialist certification.

I had the opportunity to participate in Independent Bookstore Day as a featured blogger at Chester County Book Company. They had a display of my latest recommendations. Additionally, I had the dream come true opportunity to interview Jenny Han in front of a live audience.

I read a lot of advanced copies of books through Netgalley and from various publishers. Feel free to email me at Christina@confessionsofabookaddict.com if you have any questions or connect with me on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter. Thanks for stopping by!

At Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, which is home to The Long Room. It's the most beautiful library I have ever seen!
Aloha from Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park on the Big Island of Hawaii.
I am at "Mark Twain's Rock," which is the rock he wrote about in his "Letters From Hawaii."

Highclere Castle  (home to Downton Abbey) in Hampshire, England is a dream! I had the opportunity to meet The Countess of Carnarvon. She has written a few books about Highclere Castle and the real Downton Abbey.  I was also able to attend cocktail hour in the library (*swoon*) and tour the castle.

In this picture, I am visiting Jane Austen's house in Chawton, England. It is here where she revised Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. She also wrote Mansfield ParkEmma, and Persuasion here.
